ECH RELEASE, WAIVER AND INDEMNITY

By participating in any activity of Eglinton and Caledon Hounds ("ECH"), including but not limited to activities such as hunting, hunter trials, hunter pace, horse races, and any other activity organized by or on behalf of ECH (the "Activities"),

And - by signing this release, I agree as follows:

1. I voluntarily participate and acknowledge horse sports and ECH activities involve inherent and known risks including serious injury or death ("Harm") and by participating I accept without limits being exposed to those risks.

2. I release and save harmless ECH from all claims for any harm or loss caused to me or by me or my horse, including those caused by negligence of myself or of ECH.

3. I indemnify and hold harmless ECH or a participating third party, from claims arising from my participation or the participation of a junior rider for which I am responsible, in any ECH activity or ECH activities with a third party.

4. I release all landowners and ECH volunteers from harm or loss resulting from liability including negligence, defects, theft, or damage resulting from my participating in an ECH event.

5. I indemnify and hold harmless all landowners or cooperating third parties, and all ECH members, from any claims arising from my participation.

6. I acknowledge that OE approved riders’ headgear is required to be covered by OE insurance (a contract between OE and each insured rider) and that ECH requires all participants to have OE insurance.

7. ECH requires wearing approved ASTM standard helmets at ECH activities.

8. If I or a junior rider under the age of 18 for which I am responsible, participates in an ECH activity where approved headgear is required, I undertake to ensure that junior rider will wear properly fitted, protective headgear complying with North American (ASTM) testing standards. All liability related clauses in this waiver will also apply to any junior rider/horse.

10. For the purposes of this waiver “ECH” includes it’s Staff, Contractors, Officers & Directors.
